256 colors galore!

256 colors LinuxMy weblog is littered with widespread tips about configuration for common shell tools and I post the occasional screenshot to flickr just to show off. I often get mails/comments regarding the used colorschemes and configs, so I thought it would be a good idea to create a separate page for these configs (and to keep that up-to-date).

Comments and improvements can be directed to me via email or as a comment to this post.

  1. Check your permissions. Your muttrc at least is giving permission denied.

  2. How to color question:
One of your mutt screen shots

shows your mail header has two different colors on the same line (green ‘From:’ and yellow email address), and I was wondering how to did that.

I read your .muttrc and the mutt_color_256 file but I couldn’t figure it out.

  3. This is slrn, not mutt! Have a look at the slrnrc at “headers” and “header_name”

  4. Thanks. That explains a few other things too.
